This week TigerText has announced a new partnership with the nation’s fifth largest wireless telecommunications network and is now offering secure messaging for U.S. Cellular customers.

U.S. Cellular enterprise customers can now easily add the TigerText app to their smartphones and communicate confidential information securely. For maximum convenience, TigerText billing charges are added to each user’s monthly U.S. Cellular bill. TigerText and U.S. Cellular charges can both be viewed and paid in one place.

Over the past few years it has become increasingly important for enterprises and individuals to be able to communicate securely via their smartphones. As pointed out by Scott Scheuber, director of product management at U.S. Cellular, “With heightened concerns around privacy and related regulations, it’s critical that our customers can rely on U.S. Cellular to offer a text messaging option for businesses and governments to safeguard their secure conversations and communications.”

TigerText secure messaging solutions have been widely adopted by the healthcare industry, which has long sought a viable alternative to the pager to communicate with care teams.
